Tour Itinerary & Highlights:
- Santana’s Traditional Houses: Step back in time and admire the charming, historic thatch-roofed dwellings that symbolize the island’s heritage.
- Faial and Machico Viewpoints: Take in sweeping coastal panoramas and enjoy a unique vantage point for scenic airplane spotting.
- Ponta de São Lourenço: Marvel at the breathtaking, dramatic cliffside views from the island’s easternmost peninsula.
- Cristo Rei Statue: Visit the majestic cliff-top monument, featuring an optional scenic cable car ride down to the beautiful beach below.
- Local Tastes & Traditions: Explore a historic local rum factory, followed by a stop at an authentic bar where you can taste the island’s famous “Nikita” beverage.
