The search to find the Polish tourist who has been missing since Wednesday afternoon, in the mountains of the western part of Madeira, has been suspended.

The case has now been transferred to the Public Security Police and is following legal procedures.

Over the past three days, dozens of operatives were engaged in searches, unsuccessfully.

In addition, the helicopter was also engaged, they used drones and cynotechnic teams but nothing was found.

As reported, the 35-year-old trail rider was taking the route between Porto Moniz and Calheta when he stopped reporting. Since then, he has not returned to the hotel where he was staying, nor is there any clue as to his whereabouts.

O caso passou agora para a alçada da Polícia de Segurança Pública e segue os trâmites legais.

Nos últimos três dias dezenas de operacionais estiveram empenhados nas buscas, sem sucesso.

Além disso esteve também empenhado o helicóptero, utilizaram drones e equipas cinotécnicas mas nada foi encontrado.

Tal como foi noticiado, o praticante de trail, de 35 anos, realizava o percurso entre o Porto Moniz e a Calheta quando deixou de dar notícias. Desde então não regressou à unidade hoteleira onde estava hospedado nem há qualquer pista sobre o seu paradeiro.
