Enjoy the beautiful Madeira Sunrise from the highest Madeira mountain peak, Pico Ruivo. At 1862 meters, (6,106 feet) high, it provides some of the most incredible views of the island from coast to coast. If the weather is clear, you’ll have amazing views of the whole island by night. You’ll be picked up at your hotel around 4:00 and taken to the north east of Madeira, Achada do Teixeira, at 1535 meters. Then your adventure begins, hiking around 1 hour to the highest Madeira peak with certified mountain guides. Once you reach the top, count down and wait for the beautiful colors of the sunrise. Guests are recommend to bring warm clothing for extremely cold conditions, and a rain coat (just in case). You’ll head back for a sightseeing tour in an open-roof 4×4 vehicle, stopping at Santana city to look around and visit the traditional thatched houses and breakfast time. Continue the tour discovering other places hidden using the old / cobblestone roads. This will be one of the best tours in Madeira.

Well organized. Peace was adjusted to every member of group. We went in small group of 11 people. Guide told as lot of facts about plants, peaks and Madeira itself. This hike is excellent. Spectacular views all the way. Hike is of moderate difficulty. If you do few mountain hikes per year you should be ok. We did hike in excellent weather. Can be much more difficult in bad weather. Be prepared for cold, windy and even rainy weather. Less
