Leaving Funchal we will first head to Camacha where we will make a small visit to the town, afterwards we’ll head through the old road to Santo da Serra where we will visit the traditional market, probably the last one to maintain the local tradition and culture.

After this visit we’ll head to Portela where a viewpoint with a magnificent view over Porto da Cruz and Eagle’s Nest can be visited. From here we’ll go through an off-road trail until Pico do Areeiro, the second highest peak in Madeira Island, heading back to Funchal afterwards.
