What to Bring?

Arrive early: this levada is one of the island’s most popular and becomes busy from mid-morning. Early hours offer peace, soft light and more privacy.
Alternative start: you can begin via the tunnel (PR6.6) from ER211 — about 800 m in the dark, requiring a torch, but making the route flatter and less exposed.
Recommended gear: sturdy footwear with good grip, sun protection, water, snacks, and clothing suitable for variable mountain weather.
Shuttle available: optional minibus between the upper parking (ER105) and Casa do Rabaçal (~1.8 km), easing the final climb.
