Madeira Island won for the 5th time the award of “World’s Leading Island Destination”. This prize is the result of the public vote and it is assigned by the World Travel Awards.
For that reason we, Maderian people, would like to thank you and show you a little bit more of the island.
Breathtaking! An awesome place where you can feel the beauty of the island! At 580m high you will be able to see the sea and feel the nature at the same time.. with an incredible view above Funchal and Camâra de Lobos!
For sure a place to visit
NATURAL SWIMMING POOLS
So naturally beautiful that you’ll feel delighted.
It is a pleasant place where you can go for a beautiful day at the “beach” or you can just visit and enjoy the grandiosity of the place.
PRAÇA DO MUNICÍPIO
When in Madeira you can’t miss Funchal! An incredible city that mix the calmness with the adreneline of discoverting new and different places. There’s always something to experience in this city. Good restaurants with tasteful food, nice weather for walking around, beautiful landscapes, fantastic gardens… so so nice.
PICO DO ARIEIRO
One of the highest peaks in Madeira. From there you can watch an incredible nature show called “Sunrise” or “Sunset”.
It is the perfect place to see one of these two amazing phenomenons. The landscape is superb.
CARROS DE CESTO
What a fun experience! Going for a ride at Monte, in the traditional “Carros de Cesto” is A M A Z I N G !! It’s a 10 min ride going down from Monte to Livramento, with the help of the super welcoming “Carreiros” (the men who ride the car)! Try “Carros de Cesto” for sure.
Visit Fanal is a mystical experience. Love this place so much because it is possible to breath and feel nature. And the trees… so funny and beautiful at the same time. Different of so many other places I’ve ever been. For me, as a nature lover it’s a place I recommend you to visit!
