The Madeira International Airport is facing a complete meltdown with a staggering 105 flights cancelled this Saturday alone. By 12:00 PM on Saturday, the Regional Civil Protection Service had already responded to 185 separate incidents related to the bad weather. The Portuguese Institute for Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA) is maintaining severe weather warnings, ranging from yellow to red, as the depression continues to bring dangerous winds and even sub-zero temperatures to the mountainous regions.
