Description
Studio Azul (Portuguese for “blue” – like the local sky) is a generous 35 m² studio that impresses with its thoughtful layout. The bright and airy interior, enhanced by two windows facing south and southwest, offers a comfortable space with a kitchenette and a spacious private bathroom. The kitchenette is equipped for preparing breakfasts and light snacks – we encourage our guests to explore the local flavors in nearby restaurants and bars, where you can experience authentic Madeiran cuisine.
The studio’s crown jewel is its 20 m² western terrace, providing the perfect vantage point for watching spectacular sunsets over the ocean and Funchal bay. This terrace becomes an exclusive viewing spot during the annual Madeira Atlantic Festival, when international fireworks competitions light up the sky for four Saturdays in June, as well as on New Year’s Eve. These breathtaking displays attract spectators from around the globe.
