“Access to Paul da Serra by Regional Road has been closed to traffic,” the Regional Roads Directorate announced moments ago.
Currently, the following roads are closed due to fires: ER105 – Serra água – Encumeada; ER 209 – Ponta Sol – Paul – Portas Vila and ER 210 – Prazeres – Paul Serra.
Regional Roads Closed to Traffic
The following Regional Roads are currently closed due to construction, snow/ice, fires, or other reasons:
3rd Section:
- ER 211 – Between Quebradas (Redondo viewpoint) and Lombinho (Ribeiro Velho) – Ponta Delgada;
- ER 105 – Between Porta da Vila and Paúl da Serra;
- ER 209 – Between Ribeira da Janela and Paúl da Serra.
4th Section:
- ER 105 – Between Encumeada and Paúl da Serra (Lombo do Mouro);
- ER 209 – Between Malhadinha and Paúl da Serra;
- ER 210 – Between Prazeres and Fonte do Bispo.
Regional Roads with Restricted Traffic
The following Regional Roads have restricted traffic due to construction, snow/ice, fires, or other reasons:
1st Section:
- ER 204 – Between the junction with Rua Nova do Canto do Muro and the Funchal inspection center;
- ER 204 – Between the junction with Caminho do Palheiro and the junction with Estrada da Camacha;
- ER 204 – Between the junction with Rua Urbanização dos Sobreiros and the junction with Rua da Olaria (east side);
- ER 204 – On the section of the old Airport Road, between kilometers 3+750 and 4+000 in the Cancela area;
- ER 204 – Between the junction with Caminho Velho do Jardim do Sol and the junction with Caminho Velho da Azenha;
- ER 204 – Between the junction with ER 205 (Estrada Eng. Abel Vieira) and the junction with Caminho da Mãe de Deus.
2nd Section:
- ER 103 – Between Cabouco (junction with ER 217) and Fajã do Cedro Gordo;
- ER 206 – Between the exit of ER 101 (VR1), Gaula junction, and Rua da Urbanização da Lombadinha.
3rd Section:
- ER 211 – Between Paço da Areia and Quebradas.
In the statement sent to the newsroom, the Regional Roads Directorate emphasizes that “the non-updating of information on closed and/or restricted roads implies the maintenance of the previously disclosed information,” and therefore appeals for roads to “always be used with great caution.”
