This is perhaps the most well known Levadas in Madeira.
As we walk along this footpath, you will marvel at the display of light and shade filtering through the laurel and heather trees.
The trout, swimming in the Levada alongside the path, dash for cover as they perceive our approach. As we near Lamaceiros, the view of Porto da Cruz and Eagle Rock far below are out of this world. A walk that must not be missed.

What to bring
Sportive shoes with a good grip or walking boots.
If requested Rucksacks and walking sticks can be provided by the organization.

If the child in under 12 years old and does not have 135 centimetres in height, please let us know (in the comment section) as by Portuguese law it requires a baby seat / booster seat.
Please do note that children under the age of 5 years old go free of charge (maximum of 2). However, they are entirely at the parent's responsibility and accountability.
