At a time when Europe is facing a second wave of covid-19, the regional secretary for Health and Civil Protection, Pedro Ramos again praised the arrival testing policy implemented through the screening center set up at Madeira Airport, “what it should be done at the origin by all the Member States ”of the European Union, he defended.

“I am hopeful, since Portugal will preside over the European Union next year, that this measure may be the main measure to be suggested, in the sense that the European Union’s testing policy must be done at the origin so that tourism can be safe and so that Madeira can benefit from the same tourism, which is very important for its economy ”.

Numa altura em que a Europa enfrenta uma segunda vaga da covid-19, o secretário regional da Saúde e Proteção Civil, Pedro Ramos voltou a elogiar a política de testagem à chegada implementada através do centro de rastreio montado no Aeroporto da Madeira, “aquilo que devia ser feito na origem por parte de todos os Estados Membros” da União Europeia, defendeu.

“Tenho esperanças, uma vez que Portugal vai presidir à União Europeia no próximo ano, que esta medida possa ser a principal medida a ser sugerida, no sentido de que a política de testes da União Europeia deve ser feita na origem para que o turismo possa ser seguro e para que a Madeira possa beneficiar desse mesmo turismo, que é muito importante para a sua economia”.
