Several explosions were heard recently in the area of the Pingo Doce warehouse, in São Martinho.

A large fire broke out at the site and the apparatus are large.

It has been fought by the Sapadores Firefighters of Funchal, the Câmara de Lobos Volunteer Firefighters and the Madeiran Volunteer Firefighters.

It is unknown what caused the fire. When it all started, explosions were reported.

There is also no knowledge of victims other than the visible damage.
