The strong wind that continues to batter the area of Madeira International Airport – Cristiano Ronaldo is once again causing constraints on the operation of the airport infrastructure, namely to landings.

Strong winds, with gusts reaching up to 74 km/h, are once again disrupting operations at Madeira International Airport – Cristiano Ronaldo, particularly affecting landings. A Jet2 plane from the UK (Birmingham), after a failed landing attempt in Funchal, had to divert to Porto Santo Airport.

Meanwhile, several aircraft bound for Madeira remain in a holding pattern, circling between the islands of Madeira and Porto Santo.
