How lucky were we? The catamaran and superb crew are respectful and knowledgeable about wild life and sailed us within the allowed distance on our whale watching trip. To protect the animals, only two boats can watch the same animals - and for an allocated time limit. We saw pilot whales, bottle nose dolphins and the excitement of the day sperm whales with a baby alongside. Lovely experience. Take a jacket and sun lotion. This trip was the highlight of our visit to Madeira. We had a fab afternoon watching the dolphins chase alongside the boat and jump in and out of the water. You can never tire of seeing such a beautiful sight. There was plenty of room so everyone felt at ease. The guides were amazing and kept us all topped up with drinks. We also managed to get a dip in the ocean. Such a fun and interesting trip and I would thoroughly recommend.

It was the second time in two years and we would always repeat! The biologists as well as the whole team were wonderful, caring and very open to all our questions. Thank you for making our trip to Madeira all the more special and knowledgable.

Fantastic catamaran trip, amazing crew. All friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. There was a small group of people on board, unlike other catamarans that looked very busy. The catamaran itself is beautiful, high end. Open bar from the moment you're on board (not the best idea for a Monday morning!!) and some lovely snacks offered throughout the trip. We saw lots of dolphins, but sadly no whales. So we will be back as we are here for a few weeks. We would both highly recommend this trip. You could feel and see the VIP difference! They even sent photos of the trip and of previous sealift spotted afterwards and didn't charge extra! Thank you Ricardo from This is Madeira Island for the great recommendation.

Had a great day aboard the Bonita da Madeira. Crew was very friendly and knowledgeable, and very passionate about marine life conservation. Weather was great, there weren't too many people on board and we got to see two species of dolphin and some whales. The tour is very weather-dependent, obviously, so keep an eye on the weather-forecast. Lunch was great as well!
