Cristiano Ronaldo was released from the work of the National Team after a positive test for covid-19, informed the Portuguese Football Federation.

The captain of the national team was dismissed, despite being “well, without symptoms” and already “in isolation”, according to a note published by the official website of the FPF.

As such, the most international ever for Portugal will miss Wednesday’s game with Sweden, in the League of Nations, at 7.45 pm, at the Alvalade Stadium.

“Following the positive case, the remaining players took new tests this Tuesday morning, all with a negative result”, adds the FPF.

Interestingly, on Tuesday night Cristiano Ronaldo published a photo on social media, during a dinner with the entire work group.

O capitão da seleção foi dispensado, apesar de se encontrar “bem, sem sintomas” e já “em isolamento”, segundo nota publicada pelo site oficial da FPF.

Como tal, o mais internacional de sempre por Portugal vai falhar o jogo de quarta-feira com a Suécia, da Liga das Nações, às 19.45 horas, no Estádio de Alvalade.

“Na sequência do caso positivo os restantes jogadores realizaram novos testes esta terça-feira de manhã, todos com resultado negativo”, acrescenta a FPF.

Curiosamente, na terça-feira à noite Cristiano Ronaldo publicou uma foto nas redes sociais, durante um jantar com todo o grupo de trabalho.
