Cristiano Ronaldo’s image has had a big positive impact on Madeira’s tourism, according to a study by the Faculty of Arts of the University of Coimbra (FLUC).

According to researchers at FLUC’s Center for Geography and Spatial Planning Studies, there is a relationship between the Portuguese player’s publications on social networks and the international awards won by the island.
