Today there are 160 new positive cases to report. 9 imported cases (7 from the Lisbon and Tagus Valley Region and 2 from the Northern Region of Portugal) and 151 cases of local transmission, most of which are already associated with contacts or positive case contexts

It should be noted that 48 of the cases of local transmission reported today were identified within the scope of the epidemiological investigation underway in a Residential Structure for Elderly People in the public sector. With regard to the outbreak identified at this institution, a total of 68 cases of covid-19 (46 residents and 22 employees) were confirmed to date. Some definitive results are still awaited from the laboratory tests carried out today, to be repeated during tomorrow.

Remember that today the Region recorded one more death, accounting for a total of 35 deaths associated with covid-19.

A assinalar que 48 dos casos de transmissão local reportados hoje foram identificados no âmbito da investigação epidemiológica em curso numa Estrutura Residencial para Pessoas Idosas do sector público. No que respeita ao surto identificado nesta instituição, à data foram confirmados um total de 68 casos de covid-19 (46 residentes e 22 colaboradores). Aguardam-se ainda alguns resultados definitivos dostestes laboratoriais efetuados hoje, a repetir durante o dia de amanhã.
