The 32nd meeting of the International Coordination Council of UNESCO’s “Man and the Biosphere” program takes place in an online format and runs today.

A recognition that is not unprecedented in the Region; in 2011, the award was given to Santana.

Porto Santo is one of 25 applications for new Biosphere reserves.

Today, there will be a ceremony, in which the Regional Secretary for the Environment, Susana Prada, will unveil a plaque alluding to the distinction.
