Overview
Tukxi Eco City Tours is a new and exciting way to discover the charms and beauties of Funchal, built upon ecological and innovative criteria, directly inspired by the Italian Dolce Vita glamorous style and the iconic three wheeled Ape Calessino.
Located on the Bom Sucesso Estate, the gardens and property date from 1881 and were created by the Reid family as a private park. Today, the property is open to the public, hosting many international visitors daily. The gardens cover an area of 80,000 square meters and are home to a fascinating collection of plants. The gardens and park also have an area dedicated to research and conservation.
On the drive up the hill with your guide, you can enjoy magnificent views over the city. Once up in the Botanical Garden, your guide will provide you with enough time to visit the gardens, with admission tickets paid separately. In addition to all these attractions, the Botanical Garden also has a Museum of Natural History, well worth a visit for those wanting a little more scientific information about plants.
