The fire, which according to the Regional Civil Protection Service, currently has three active fronts, namely in Jardim da Serra, Curral das Freiras and Encumeada, is already reaching the slopes of São Vicente.

It’s worth noting that the Regional Civil Protection Emergency Plan of the Autonomous Region of Madeira (PREPCRAM) has also been activated in response to the severity of the situation.
