This was a perfect way to start a first time trip to Funchal. Renke, the guide was friendly knowlegable and adaptable. She made the tour extra special with her tid-bits and local stories.It was a great way to see the old town in a small group and experience local food, wine , poncha, and history. Just when you though you couldn't eat any more there.. there was more. I would recommend to anyone visiting Funchal , and don't eat before you go.

We really enjoyed the trip and visited places we would not have gone to without an insider's knowledge. We now have a few more places to add to our list of places to go as we walked past some on the trip and got extra info on them. Also got great advice for evening restaurants .

Did this tour on New Years Eve with Leonor. The tour was fantastic and one of the highlights of my trip to Funchal. It's hard to know what to point out as the highlight. Leonor was knowledgeable about the history and food of Madeira and also took the time to get to know those on the tour. There was so much food provided and together with the history and information about the culture really made it a fascinating tour. At each stop there was plenty to eat and drink and the variety of Madeiran food was really evident as no dish or drink was repeated (even the soft drinks offered had a connection to Madeira). I would highly recommend booking this experience and will do it again when I come back to Madeira. I also contacted Jaqueline, the owner, prior to the tour to check some of the foods and she was super helpful and friendly giving me all of the information needed. Thanks for such a great experience and for helping to create many happy memories of our visit to Madeira.

We had our food tour today with Teresa 01/27/2022 it was everything we expected and more. The food selection was amazing and plentiful. She is very knowledgeable about Madeira and we are happy with our experience. We would definitely do the tour again!
