The President of the Regional Government, Miguel Albuquerque, reaffirmed this morning that next Wednesday, March 16th, it will no longer be mandatory to wear a mask in outdoor spaces.

“It is official, we will take it to the Government Council today, and it will come into force on Wednesday because we have a vaccination rate of around 91% and the mortality rate, related to covid, is less than 0.8%. Therefore, we are in a position, at this time, to relatively safely dispense with the use of a mask abroad, ” he explained.
