The rescue operation took some time and straps and ropes were used to free the animal.
The Calheta Volunteer Firefighters, in partnership with the Calheta City Council and the Forestry Police, rescued and rescued a cow that fell on a grid on the road to Fonte do Bispo, Paul da Serra.
The animal had its paws caught in the railing of the road, not being able to free itself by its means. A local authority vehicle was used as a crane.

A operação de salvamento demorou algum tempo e foram utilizadas cintas e cordas para conseguir libertar o animal.
Os Bombeiros Voluntários da Calheta, em parceria com a Câmara Municipal da Calheta e Polícia Florestal, salvaram e resgataram uma vaca que caiu numa grade na estrada da Fonte do Bispo, Paul da Serra.
O animal ficou com as patas presas no gradeamento da estrada, não sendo capaz de se libertar pelos seus meios. Foi utilizada uma viatura da autarquia como grua.

A few years ago I saw a video of sheep who had figured out how to get across the cattle-grids. They laid on their sides and just rolled over them. And people say sheep are stupid!
