Several media were involved, this morning, in a rescue operation of four tourists who got lost, this morning, on a path located on the second spine, near Poço das Pulgas, in Ponta Delgada.

According to JM, this rescue was initiated with the Forestry Police and the PSP mountain rescue and relief team, who found the tourists. However, as they were sheltered in a place of difficult access, the Madeira Volunteer Firefighters (BVM) rescue team was called after two in the morning.

Although information is still scarce, according to a source from the BVM, the tourists will have already been located and are making their way to the road. Thereafter, they must, of course, receive the necessary medical assistance.

In the morning of this Sunday, around 07:00, the Volunteer Firefighters of São Vicente and Porto Moniz also went to the scene.
