The French police have seized cell phones in searches of the residence of the couple who disappeared in Madeira. According to the Le Parisien, Véronique and Laurent Blond, 56 and 58 years old, live in the Beaumont-de-Lomagne region, near Toulouse, and run a bakery.

The couple’s daughter, who went on holiday with them, alerted the authorities after they went missing. The police searched the couple’s home in France and seized their cell phones and electronic devices, but did not find any clues.

The police are now also searching the couple’s bakery. According to Le Parisien, there is nothing to indicate that the couple wanted to commit suicide.

The couple disappeared on March 16, 2024. The alert was given by the daughter, who was also on holiday in the Region and who, on that day, chose to stay and rest at the accommodation.

The couple’s daughter has been systematically using social media, appealing to anyone with information about the whereabouts of her parents to contact the police.

The search for the couple has been ongoing for several days, but no trace of them has been found. The Portuguese authorities have asked for help from the French police, who have sent a team of specialists to Madeira.

The investigation into the couple’s disappearance is ongoing.
