The Robert Koch Institute, the German public health authority, removed Madeira from the list of regions at high risk of transmission of Covid-19. The decision takes effect from midnight next Sunday and represents the lifting of travel notices for German citizens to our archipelago and the exemption from quarantine on return to the country. Germany is, along with the United Kingdom, one of the biggest sources of tourists to Madeira.

O Instituto Robert Koch, a entidade de saúde pública da Alemanha, retirou a Madeira da lista de regiões de risco elevado de transmissão de Covid-19. A decisão entra em vigor a partir da meia-noite do próximo domingo e representa o levantamento dos avisos de viagem para os cidadãos alemães para o nosso arquipélago e a dispensa de quarentena no regresso ao país. A Alemanha é, a par do Reino Unido, um dos maiores emissores de turistas para a Madeira.
