Overview

Enjoy a beautiful and pleasant tour alongside Madeira’s North West Coast, deep in to the forest, through forgotten and enchanted old roads. Travel along narrow and forgotten stone plastered roads, off-road and soak up the scenery. Get a glimpse into the true lifeblood which drives us through life. Enjoy 15 minutes at a “levada”, our water aqueducts that start building at the 15th century and stills using today, learn about our native forest & flora and the natural reserve of UNESCO.
When the weather allows it, you can swim at the volcanic lava pools in Porto Moniz or at Seixal.

Starting in Serra D’Água, the abrupt valley dividing the massif from the only plateau this island has, this tour takes you to the lush northwest, where waterfalls melt into the ocean and lava has been shaped into cerulean pools. Feel the adrenalin-adventure of exploring primitive back-roads surrounded by native forest. Add to these a walk alongside the famous man-made channels -called Levadas-with ravishing landscapes and for sure, you will have unforgettable moments.

Absolutely great

I couldn’t recommend this company enough. I came on holiday with a guide book which has stayed, neglected at the bottom of my bag. I didnt really expect to spend most of my holiday in jeeps, switching quickly to Green Devils once I found them. I’ve been really impressed with the quality and knowledge of all the guides. The trips have been well paced with enough break for coffee or toilet breaks, but never been rushed and I’ve seen more of Madeira than I ever thought I would see. I have to say a special thank you, as for one trip I was the only customer and was treated like a queen. What could have been a slightly awkward situation, was really well managed and I felt really privileged to go. Nothing was too much trouble, it didn’t feel like any short cuts were taken, and I felt like I spent the day with a new friend. Thank you so much x

An Experience not to be Missed!

We'd never been on a 'Jeep Safari' before - so, this was our 'introduction'. The trip that we had at the end of January was a full day and went to the West and the North of the island. It was an absolutely amazing experience - so much fun - and worth every singe penny (sorry ...... cent) ! Hugo was our guide. He was very knowledgeable, friendly and relaxed - yet proffessional and he made a point of chatting to, involving and bonding all 7 of us 'strangers'. We went to places which were unreachable by public transport and innaccessible by car - and Hugo explained everything en route. If there is one 'treat' that you give yourselves during your stay in Madeira - make sure its this one, or one similar. You'll not regret it!!

Can only recommend

The tour was amazing! Sadly the weather wasn’t the best, so the views weren’t as impressive as they could have been. The tour has changed a little since the description was written, because some roads got too dangerous. The off-road was so much fun and our Tour-Guide Igor was such a charismatic individual! Great pleasure to have gotten to know him. Bathing in Seixal was absolutely beautiful! (It’s worth waiting for Seixal to go swimming, Porto Moniz looks beautiful too but Seixal is even better!) Can only recommend.

This trip was amazing and all thanks to Nelson, the best guide we ever had! So please if you do it, ask for him! He will take time to take you to the most beautiful and original places from Madeira, not the typical touristical placea! We took time for us to take pictures everywhere in every viewing point he showed us, brought us to a very nice and quiet restaurant with good food and then in the afternoon to a place where we could drink the poncha! We were also not swimming in the most crowded natural pools in Pt. Moniz but in more “unknown” ones! The landscape and the safari ride and his driving skills were also THE BEST! All in all an AMAZING experience! Thank you Nelson!! Thank you This is Madeira for the recommendation!
