The ‘summer’ time will be back in Madeira this week, once again imposing itself this timid autumn. From this Thursday, with the wind turning east, the weather forecast points to the entry of a mass of hot air that will not only raise the temperature of the air – from the sea to the mountains – but will also lower the rate of humidity, especially at high elevations.

“As of the 29th (Thursday) with the entry of a mass of hot air from the east, there should be an increase in the air temperature values, accompanied by a decrease in the relative humidity values, in particular, in altitude. On the 31st (Saturday) the maximum temperature in Funchal should reach 27 ºC and in Areeiro at 20 ºC ”, says Victor Prior, IPMA regional delegate in Madeira.

Thus, a weekend of sun and heat is foreseen. Probably also inviting to go to baths, if the high temperatures for the season are confirmed.

Until this Wednesday the weather in the Archipelago of Madeira should be more ‘grimace’ and with the possibility of occurring “periods of light rain or light showers”, as it happened this Monday – especially on the North coast of Madeira. – with the approach and passage of a cold frontal surface of weak activity and in the dissipation phase.

This Wednesday there will be “an approximation of a new frontal surface, but that should not influence the weather in Madeira”, says the meteorologist.

The wind will also not be a problem this last week in October. “In general, it will be weak to moderate (10 to 35 km / h)”. Initially from the northeastern quadrant, then running, starting on Thursday, to the east.

The sea motivates redoubled attention, especially on the north coast of Madeira and on Thursday, where the maritime unrest can register up to 4.5 m of significant height (maximum in the order of 8.0 m). In the south, the waves should oscillate between 1 and 2 m.

O tempo ‘de Verão’ estará de volta à Madeira ainda esta semana, impondo-se uma vez mais neste Outono tímido. A partir desta quinta-feira, com o vento a rodar para leste, a previsão meteorológica aponta para a entrada de massa de ar quente que vai não só fazer subir a temperatura do ar – do mar à serra – mas também fará baixar a taxa de humidade, sobretudo nas cotas elevadas.

“A partir do dia 29 (quinta-feira) com a entrada de massa de ar quente de leste, deverá registar-se uma subida dos valores da temperatura do ar, acompanhada de uma diminuição dos valores da humidade relativa do ar, em especial, em altitude. No dia 31 (sábado) a temperatura máxima no Funchal deverá chegar aos 27 ºC e no Areeiro a 20 ºC”, adianta Victor Prior, delegado regional do IPMA na Madeira.

Prevê-se assim um fim-de-semana de sol e calor. Provavelmente também convidativo para ida a banhos, a confirmarem-se as temperaturas elevadas para a época.

Até esta quarta-feira o estado do tempo no Arquipélago da Madeira deverá predominar mais ‘careta’ e com a possibilidade de poder ocorrer “períodos de chuva fraca ou aguaceiros fracos”, como se verificou esta segunda-feira – sobretudo na costa Norte da Madeira – com a aproximação e passagem de superfície frontal fria de fraca actividade e em fase de dissipação.

Esta quarta-feira ocorrerá “aproximação de nova superfície frontal, mas que não deverá influenciar o estado do tempo na Madeira”, refere o meteorologista.

O vento também não será problema nesta última semana de Outubro. “Em geral, será fraco a moderado (10 a 35 km/h)”. Inicialmente do quadrante nordeste, rodando depois, a partir de quinta-feira, para leste.

Já o mar motiva atenções redobradas, sobretudo na costa Norte da Madeira e na quinta-feira, onde a agitação marítima poderá registar até aos 4,5 m de altura significativa (máximos na ordem dos 8,0 m). A Sul as ondas deverão oscilar entre 1 a 2 m.
