The Portuguese Institute of the Sea and the Atmosphere (IPMA) forecasts for this Monday, February 14, in Madeira, skies in general very cloudy, decreasing in cloud cover from the end of the afternoon and periods of rain, in general weak, to from mid-morning, being more frequent in the north slopes and in the highlands, decreasing to showers from the end of the afternoon.

The wind is expected to blow, in general, light (less than 20 km/h) from the north quadrant, becoming light to moderate (10 to 30 km/h) from the northeast by mid-morning.

Temperatures will vary between 14 and 20ºC in Funchal and 14 and 19ºC in Porto Santo.

As for the state of the sea, the IPMA points to northwest waves with 1.5 to 2 meters, increasing to 1.5 to 2 meters, starting in the morning, on the north coast of the island. On the south coast, waves from the south quadrant are less than 1 meter, increasing to 1 meter.

The temperature of the sea water should be around 18/19ºC.
