There was a shooting at Rua das Hortas, in Funchal.

As far as it was possible to ascertain for now, there is a dead person and another seriously injured as a result of the shooting that took place early in the morning of this Saturday.

Allegedly, the author of the shots is at large.

The situation occurred in a restaurant on Rua das Hortas, in a contempt that involved three individuals.

Upon leaving the restaurant, the alleged sniper fired at two men, hitting one on the head and one on the lower limbs. The first died immediately and the second was rescued on the spot and transported to the hospital.

BIR, Judicial Police, PSP, Emir, Madeiran Voluntary Firefighters and Portuguese Red Cross were called to the scene.

The street in question was closed, and a security perimeter was created at the crime scene, which is being investigated by the PJ.

It is known that this is an isolated case and rarely happens in Madeira

Houve um tiroteio na Rua das Hortas, no Funchal.

Pelo que foi possível apurar por agora, há a registar um morto um ferido grave como resultado do tiroteio que aconteceu ao início da madrugada deste sábado.

Alegadamente, o autor dos disparos encontra-se a monte.

A situação ocorreu num restaurante da Rua das Hortas, num desacato que terá envolvido três indivíduos.

À saída do restaurante, o alegado atirador disparou contra dois homens, atingindo um na cabeça e outro nos membros inferiores. O primeiro teve morte imediata e o segundo foi socorrido no local e transportado ao hospital.

Foram acionados para o local a BIR, Policia Judiciária, PSP, Emir, Bombeiros Voluntários Madeirenses e Cruz Vermelha Portuguesa.

A rua em questão foi encerrada, tendo sido criado um perímetro de segurança no local do crime, que está a ser investigado pela PJ.

É de saber que este é um caso isolado e raramente acontece na Madeira
